Tuesday 29th April is International Dance Day 2025. UDOIT Dance Foundation wants to inspire as many people as possible across the nation with the empowering feeling that dance can bring.
With the increasing popularity of dancing in all its forms thanks to social media and apps such as TikTok, this helps us spread the message of how accessible dance really is. No specialised equipment, specific venue, training experience is required to feel the positive values that dance has on physical and mental well being.
We want to use this day to spread awareness of how dance can have an amazing impact on physical and mental health and be used not only as a social form of expression, but as a tool to:
-
Increase physical activity levels
-
Used as a preventative tool to combat many current issues (anti social behavior, educational engagement, obesity, social exclusion)
-
Improve mental health
And most importantly, being an activity that is fun and inclusive for all to enjoy.
UDOIT Dance Foundation is doing so much positive work around increasing opportunities for people to access street dance and we want your help so we can reach more communities that can positively benefit from our programmes.
We challenge YOU to personally feel the benefits of dancing.
We have created a series of short videos tailored to different levels of experience.
