At UDOIT! Dance Foundation we want all children and young people to have a positive, safe and enjoyable experience when taking part in dance. We also strive to ensure that all staff, teachers and volunteers are clear on what is expected of them when engaging with young people and that best practice is central to all dance sessions.
Our priority is to ensure the delivery of all dance sessions, driven by or on behalf of UDOIT! Dance Foundation is done in a safe and protective manner that promotes the welfare of all children and young people and protects them from harm.
Safeguarding during these sessions must have:
- The creation of an environment in which children are valued and their right to be safe is upheld
- The management of risk to minimise circumstances where children involved in activities may suffer harm
- Working together with other organisations that have a responsibility to safeguard and protect children.
Policies & Procedures
Our Safeguarding and Protecting Children Policy was formally reviewed in 2018. UDOIT! has worked with the Governing Body for exercise, movement and dance (EMD UK) to create these and thanks EMD UK for use of their resources and advice.
