National Schools

The U DO IT! National Schools Dance Championships offer a fantastic opportunity for dancers from academic schools to showcase their talent through platforms they may not have had access to previously.

Dancers are encouraged to participate in workshops with a framework that promotes realistic and measurable goals, from a wide range of dance styles taught by industry professionals.

The National Schools Dance Championships has been successfully delivered to schools across the UK since 2008 by our partner, United Dance Organisation. As the world leaders in streetdance, they provide over 15 years of expertise and knowledge in the field.

The Championships are presented by U DO IT! Dance Foundation, a charity that works in partnership with Sport Wales, Sport England & UDO, to provide all-inclusive dance programmes to children and young people of all ages and backgrounds across the UK.

The Championships are aligned with, and representative of, U DO IT! Dance Foundation’s mission and objectives. Recognising that dancers and potential dancers from both primary and secondary education do not have as many opportunities to showcase their personal best, express themselves and/or compete.

We recently communicated our plans to host a Summer National schools Dance championships as part of the UDO British weekend this June in Blackpool.
Since then the event had to be cancelled as there will be too many restrictions still in place for us to run the event that we desire.

We have since decided to move the event to this upcoming November, so we can give you all a high quality event with a great experience that we have always delivered over the last 5 years.

Nothing beats the experience of watching live dance routines from dancers around the UK, sharing the love of dance through workshops with inspiring industry professionals & having the best fun with your school friends through our cypher sessions. The experience of this isn't as powerful online, so we really feel it is the best decision to delay the competition to give the young people an amazing day!

This gives your school extra time to get your teams recruited, trained up and ready for the championships this November.

Dancer, Teacher, Spectator & Staff'
safety and enjoyment is at the heart of our event, so let's wait to make it truly special!

Date & Location to be revealed soon

Thank you for your patience & understanding at what has been a very challenging time.
